I don’t know about you, but if I spend a lot of money on a nice dinner, I want it to be excellent…and that means the food AND the service.
But things don’t always go as planned…
A woman named Kacie posted a video on TikTok and shared a story with viewers that is enough to make anyone’s blood pressure rise.
Kacie explained that she went to a restaurant called Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence, Italy to celebrate her boyfriend’s birthday and they paid a whopping $1,500 for the experience.
Kacie said that customers are asked questions when they make reservations online for the restaurant and she declined the cake on a pedestal option because she thought her boyfriend would want to enjoy the dessert-tasting menu instead.
And then the dessert showed up without a candle…
Kacie mentioned it to the waiter, who in turn got the manager…and this guy wasn’t in a good mood.
She said, “You know when like someone just comes in hot and heavy and just agitated? You know when you can tell someone is just like, ready to fight? That was this man.”
Kacie said, “I’m so sorry, I didn’t see that there was an option to just reserve a candle on the website..if there was I’m sorry, that’s on me, but I know that there wasn’t an option just to reserve a candle.”
She went back and forth with the angry manager until her boyfriend stepped in to figure things out because he speaks Italian.
Her boyfriend smoothed things over and the manager lightened up and offered the couple a tour of the restaurant’s wine cellar.
But the damage had been done: Kacie said she paid, went outside, and ended up crying in front of the restaurant because she was upset.
